As a fifth-generation Washingtonian, Brian has a strong grasp of regional business and real estate, blending historical insight with practical solutions. His early career as a CPA, combined with his “street sense” and calm demeanor under pressure, make him a trusted and valued legal counsel to clients. Brian’s practice encompasses a broad spectrum of business law, commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions and leasing, as well as dispute resolution, landlord-tenant issues and commercial lending. His clients include regional real estate investors, developers and management companies engaged in office, retail, warehouse, mixed use and industrial properties, restaurant owners, professional service providers, and other attorneys seeking his representation, as well as serving as counsel to regional non-profit entities. He has served as outside general counsel to Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas, Inc. since 2015. Brian earned his Accounting degree from the University of Maryland and his J.D. degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
