Thomas (“Tom”) Hughes is an associate attorney in the firm’s Litigation practice group. He represents clients in civil and commercial litigation matters, including business disputes, breach of contract and negligence claims, real property conflicts, construction law, and trusts and estates contests.

Prior to joining Selzer Gurvitch, Tom represented landlords and property management companies in residential and commercial litigation. His practice also included a variety of family law matters.

Tom received his B.S. degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and his J.D. degree from the University of Baltimore School of law. From 2023-2025, Tom was selected to be named to the list of Maryland Rising Stars, a designation as a top-rated attorney as recognized by his peers.
