Jessica Drexler Lieberman

Ms. Lieberman is Counsel in the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group and Real Estate Taxation Practice Group.
In Ms. Lieberman’s real estate taxation work, she represents property owners, developers, and property managers in administrative and judicial ad valorem real property and taxation. She engages and consults with clients regarding income and expense information and comparable sales analysis, and reviews and analyzes mid-cycle, annual, and triennial assessments. Ms. Lieberman also analyzes the validity of partial or supplemental assessments for newly constructed buildings, rezoned, or subdivided properties. She can assist in completing documents required by respective assessing jurisdictions and provide projections for future real estate tax liability. She appears in most Maryland counties and the District of Columbia, and can consult on cases in Virginia.
Ms. Lieberman has 26 years’ experience as a litigator doing business, commercial, and real estate litigation. Her practice focuses on contract disputes as well as commercial, retail, and industrial landlord-tenant and lease disputes. She is able to apprise clients of potential risks and costs associated in each stage of litigation, as well as advocate for clients in court through written submissions, oral arguments, trials, and post-judgment matters.
After law school, Ms. Lieberman served as law clerk to the Honorable Diane O. Leasure, Circuit Court for Howard County, Maryland. She was an attorney with the law firm of Linowes and Blocher LLP for 22 years prior to joining Selzer Gurvitch Rabin Wertheimer & Polott, P.C.
